Diamond Makeovers
A sweet little diamond cluster ring became a very dramatic, modern pendant! It is worn on a Niessing coil-style necklace. Once the diamonds were removed from the ring where they were smothered in prongs, they were able to really shine!
Before: A nearly 2.00 carat, fine diamond in a gold ring that diminished the diamond’s size and beauty. After: The diamond was set in a distinctive, platinum “modern classic” by Whitney Boin (his original “post” mounting from 1986) resulting in an innovative but straightforward frame that enhances the diamond’s size and beauty.
Before: A badly chipped, 0.85 carat old-European cut diamond in need
of re-cutting and polishing was set in a ring that offered no
focus and lacked clean lines preferred by the couple.
