Charlotte was a painter, a dancer and a teacher. Hal could make anything from wood and stone. Artists can never retire. We just aren’t made that way. As long as ideas flow, we continue to find ways to express them.
Having seen my parents navigate the transition to older aged artists, continuing decades of creative pursuits, has provided me with hope and a vision for my own path forward.
Like my parents, and theirs before, I’ve forged my life through applied art, craft, and music.
This will be the year that I turn eighty and there are so many ideas in the queue.
This year, watch for more creative combinations of metal, wood, and stone. Imagine that!
